It is unlawful for any person, firm, company or corporation to use a mechanical device to harvest cones or pine nuts from a pinon tree on lands owned by or under the control of the State of Nevada, or on any private lands without a written permit therefor from the owner or occupant of the land or the authorized agent of the owner or occupant. 2. Any violation of the provisions of this section is a misdemeanor. 3. The State Forester Firewarden and his or her representatives and all peace officers shall enforce the provisions of this section.
