1. For the purpose of recalling any director of an irrigation district there shall be first filed with the secretary of the irrigation district from which such director was elected a petition signed by qualified electors of such irrigation district equal in number to at least 35 percent of the vote cast at the last preceding election held in and for the district. 2. The petition shall also contain the residence addresses of the signers, and shall set forth in not to exceed 200 words the reason why the recall is demanded. [2:186:1927; A 1933, 98; 1931 NCL § 8207]
