The board of directors may enter into obligations or contracts with the United States for the purposes designated in NRS 539.273, and may provide therein: 1. For the delivery and distribution of water to the lands of such district under the Acts of Congress specified in NRS 539.270 and the rules and regulations established thereunder. 2. For the conveyance to the United States, as partial consideration for the privileges obtained by the district under the contract, of water rights or other property of the district.
