1. There is hereby created in the State General Fund the Account for the Control of Weeds to be administered by the Director. Money in the Account must be used for the abatement of weeds. The Director may adopt regulations for the administration of the Account. 2. The Account is a continuing account without reversion to the State General Fund. The money in the Account must be invested as the money in other state funds or accounts is invested. The interest and income earned on the money in the Account, after deducting any appropriate charges, must be credited to the Account. All claims against the Account must be paid as other claims against the State are paid. 3. The Director may accept gifts, grants and donations from any source for deposit in the Account.
