1. The Board for the Regulation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, consisting of six members appointed by the Governor, is hereby created. 2. The Governor shall appoint: (a) One member who is a volunteer firefighter in a rural area of this State. (b) One member who is a firefighter employed by the fire department of a city in this State. (c) Two members who: (1) Are or have been engaged in the sale or distribution of liquefied petroleum gas in this State; and (2) Have a working knowledge of and actual experience in the daily operation of a business classified pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of NRS 590.575. Each member appointed pursuant to this paragraph may be appointed from a separate list of three nominees for appointment if such a list of nominees is provided to the Governor by the Nevada Propane Dealers Association. (d) Two members who are representatives of the general public. 3. After the initial terms, the members of the Board must be appointed to terms of 4 years. 4. Each member of the Board is entitled to receive a salary of not more than $80 per day, as fixed by the Board, while engaged in the business of the Board. 6. While engaged in the business of the Board, each member and employee of the Board is entitled to receive the per diem allowance and travel expenses provided for state officers and employees generally. 7. Except as otherwise provided by NRS 590.547 and 590.605, the salaries, per diem allowances and travel expenses of the members and employees of the Board must be paid out of the money of the Board, after approval by a majority of the Board.
