1. 'Earned but unpaid income' means salary, wages, compensation or other income that: (a) A user or employer has represented, and a provider has reasonably determined to have been, earned or accrued to the benefit of the user in exchange for the user’s provision of services to the employer or on behalf of the employer; and (b) Has not been paid to the user by the employer at the time a provider delivers the payment of the proceeds to a user. 2. The term includes, without limitation, salary, wages, compensation or other income earned: (a) On an hourly, project-based, piecework or other basis. (b) Through services rendered as an independent contractor. (Added to NRS by 2023, 2395)
