Any agreement by a person to waive, release or commute his or her rights to benefits or any other rights under this chapter is void, except an agreement made voluntarily with a state or local agency to withhold money from the benefits to pay support for a child. 2. Any agreement by any person in the employ of any other person or concern to pay all or any portion of an employer’s contributions, required under this chapter from the employer is void. 3. No employer may directly or indirectly make, require or accept any deduction from wages to finance the employer’s contributions required from the employer, or require or accept any waiver of any right under this chapter by any person in his or her employ. 4. Any employer or officer or agent of an employer who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor.
