1. Every employer within the provisions of chapters 616A to 616D, inclusive, of NRS shall, immediately upon the occurrence of an injury to any of his or her employees, render to the injured employee all necessary first aid, including the cost of transportation of the injured employee to the nearest place of proper treatment if the injury is such as to make it reasonably necessary for such transportation. 2. An employer who is not self-insured or a member of an association of self-insured public or private employers is entitled to receive reimbursement from the employer’s insurer for the costs incurred in rendering the necessary first aid and transportation of an injured employee to the nearest place of proper treatment.
