1. 'Private professional guardian company' means a business entity, including, without limitation, a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited-liability company or corporation, that is licensed pursuant to the provisions of this chapter to engage in the business of a private professional guardian, whether appointed by a court or hired by a private party. 2. For the purposes of this chapter, the term does not include a business entity which engages in the business of a private professional guardian but which is exempt pursuant to NRS 159.0595, 159A.0595 or 628B.110 from the requirement to have a license issued pursuant to this chapter.
