In placing a child in the custody of a person or a public or private institution or agency, the juvenile court shall select, when practicable, a person or an institution or agency governed by persons of: 1. The same religious faith as that of the parents of the child; 2. If the religious faiths of the parents differ, the religious faith of the child; or 3. If the religious faith of the child is not ascertainable, the religious faith of either of the parents. (Added to NRS by 2003, 1062)
