1. Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, the Board shall periodically cause to be surveyed all approved schools of professional nursing in this State. Written reports of those surveys must be submitted to and considered by the full Board. In lieu of causing the approved schools of professional nursing to be surveyed, the Board may accept a survey and recommendation completed by a nationally recognized association that accredits schools of professional nursing, if the association has been approved by the Board. 2. If, after consideration of the reports, the Board determines that a school of professional nursing is not maintaining the standards required by this chapter and by the Board, notice thereof in writing specifying the deficiencies must forthwith be given to the school. 3. The Board shall revoke the approval of a school of professional nursing which fails to remedy such deficiencies within a reasonable time after receiving written notice thereof.
