1. Any person who holds a license to practice chiropractic in this State but who does not maintain an active practice in this State may maintain the license on inactive status by notifying the Board and paying the required fee. 2. An applicant to have an inactive license restored to active status must: (a) Submit satisfactory evidence to the Board that the applicant has maintained an active practice in another state, territory or country within the preceding 5 years; (b) Submit satisfactory evidence to the Board from all other licensing agencies from whom the applicant has a license that he or she is in good standing and has no legal actions pending against him or her; (c) Submit satisfactory evidence to the Board that the applicant has participated in a program of continuing education in accordance with NRS 634.130 for the year in which he or she seeks to go on active status; and (d) Pay the required fee. 3. If any of the conditions of paragraphs (a) to (d), inclusive, of subsection 2 are not met by an applicant for active status, the Board shall hold a hearing to determine the applicant’s professional competency and fitness and may require the applicant to pass the National ion 2 are not met by an applicant for active status, the Board shall hold a hearing to determine the applicant’s professional competency and fitness and may require the applicant to pass the National Special Purposes Examination for Chiropractic prepared by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners before placing the license on active status.
