1. Upon application and payment of the application fee required pursuant to NRS 637B.175, the Board may issue a provisional license to engage in the practice of: (a) Speech-language pathology to a person who is completing the clinical fellowship requirements for obtaining a certificate of clinical competence issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. (b) Fitting and dispensing hearing aids to a person who: (1) Holds a license to engage in the practice of fitting and dispensing hearing aids in another state; and (2) Is completing the training required for certification by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences. 2. A provisional license issued pursuant to this section may be: (a) Renewed not more than twice; and (b) Converted to an active license upon payment of the fee required pursuant to NRS 637B.175 for converting the license and the award of: (1) A certificate of clinical competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; or (2) Certification by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences.
