1. A person who violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a gross misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than $2,000 for each offense. 2. If the Board has reason to believe that a person has violated a provision of this chapter or a regulation adopted pursuant thereto, the Board shall report the facts to the district attorney of the county where the violation occurred, who may cause appropriate criminal proceedings to be brought against that person.
