The provisions of this chapter do not apply to: 1. A person who is employed by this State or the Federal Government and who provides music therapy services within the scope of that employment. 2. A person performing services or participating in activities as part of a supervised course of study in an accredited or approved educational or internship program while pursuing study leading to a degree or certificate in music therapy, if the person is designated by a title which clearly indicates his or her status as a student or intern. 3. A person who holds a professional license in this State or an employee who is supervised by a person who holds a professional license in this State and whose provision of music therapy services is incidental to the practice of his or her profession if the person does not hold himself or herself out to the public as a music therapist.
