1. The Board shall issue a license to practice as a marriage and family therapist or clinical professional counselor to an applicant who meets the requirements imposed pursuant to this chapter. 2. A license to practice as a marriage and family therapist or clinical professional counselor expires on January 1 of each even-numbered year. 3. The Board shall prorate the fee for the application for an initial license and the fee for the initial issuance of a license to practice as a marriage and family therapist or clinical professional counselor based on the number of months remaining in the period from the date of issuance until the expiration of the license on January 1 of each even-numbered year.
