1. A license as a clinical alcohol and drug counselor is valid for 2 years and may be renewed. 2. A licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor may: (a) Engage in the clinical practice of counseling persons with alcohol and other substance use disorders; (b) Diagnose or classify a person as having an alcohol or other substance use disorder; (c) Supervise certified clinical alcohol and drug counselor interns and alcohol and drug counselor interns; and (d) Supervise certified problem gambling counselor interns if the licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor: (1) Is approved by the Board to conduct such supervision; and (2) Has completed at least: (I) Thirty hours of instruction relating to problem gambling; and (II) Twelve hours of instruction relating to the supervision of interns, including, without limitation, the supervision of certified problem gambling counselor interns.
