Except as otherwise provided in NRS 670B.240, a person may apply for a license as a student loan servicer by submitting a written application to the Commissioner on a form prescribed by the Commissioner. The application must be accompanied by: 1. A financial statement prepared by a certified public accountant or a public accountant, the accuracy of which is sworn to under oath before a notary public by the proprietor, a general partner or a corporate officer or a member authorized to execute such documents; 2. Any other information requested by the Commissioner or otherwise required in connection with the evaluation and investigation of the applicant’s qualifications and suitability for licensure; 3. A nonrefundable license fee of $1,000; 4. A nonrefundable investigation fee of $800; and 5. A surety bond in an amount determined by the Commissioner. (Added to NRS by 2023, 2857)
