1. The policy of the State of Nevada with respect to the issuance of licenses to business entities is: (a) To broaden the opportunity for investment in the cannabis industry through the pooling of capital in the form of a business entity. (b) To maintain effective control over cannabis establishments operated by licensees that are business entities. (c) To restrain any speculative promotion of the stock, securities or other interests in cannabis establishments. 2. The Board may adopt regulations prescribing requirements for the issuances of licenses to business entities and standards for licensees that are business entities which are more stringent than the requirements and standards otherwise set forth in this chapter. Such regulations must be consistent with: (a) The policy of this State set forth in subsection 1 and NRS 678A.005. (b) The provisions of this chapter which provide for more stringent requirements and standards for a registrant that holds an ownership interest of 5 percent or more in a cannabis establishment.
