To the extent applicable and not inconsistent with federal law: 1. The provisions of this chapter that govern domestic insurers, their business, capital and surplus requirements and the requirements for eligibility for a certificate of authority govern self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangements; and 2. A self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangement must comply with the criteria set forth in this chapter to qualify for a certificate of authority. (Added to NRS by 2019, 1426)
