Statute 695c 315

1. The health maintenance organization being examined shall pay the expense of an examination. The expenses to be paid include only the reasonable and proper travel and lodging expenses of the Commissioner and the examiners and assistants of the Commissioner, including expert assistance, reasonable compensation to the examiners and assistants and incidental expenses as necessarily incurred in the examination. The Commissioner shall consider the scales and limitations recommended by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners regarding the expense and compensation for an examination. 2. The health maintenance organization shall promptly pay to the Commissioner the expenses of the examination upon presentation by the Commissioner of a reasonably detailed written statement thereof.
