Statute 703 152

1. The Legislature finds that the cost of energy in Nevada is affected by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in its regulation of the transmission of energy into and out of the State of Nevada, and the concerns of the public utilities and their customers in this State should be represented at the hearings of that Commission which affect Nevada. 2. The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, within the limits of its budget and as it deems necessary, may bring an action, file a petition or intervene before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission or in any court on behalf of the public utilities and their customers in this State and represent their views in any matter which affects the development, transmission, use or cost of energy in Nevada.
