1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, each telecommunication provider shall provide timely written notice to a customer of the duration of each call that is billed to the customer, reported in minutes, seconds or any fraction thereof, if the charges for the telecommunication services are calculated, in whole or in part, on the basis of the duration of the call. 2.
