1. The Department may issue its written approval in conjunction with the registration or licensing of a carrier’s fleet or equipment or at such time as an application for the written approval is received. 2. If the Department receives an application for written approval which is not submitted in conjunction with the registration or licensing of a carrier’s fleet or equipment, it may charge a fee not to exceed $50 to act upon that application.
