1. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 706.854, upon the payment of all fees required pursuant to the provisions of NRS 706.801 to 706.861, inclusive, or upon being satisfied that the fee is secured and upon compliance with the laws of this State in order to register the vehicles, the Department shall register them, and issue plates, licenses, emblems, certificates or other devices for the vehicles in the same manner as otherwise provided by law. 2. A motor carrier operating pursuant to the provisions of NRS 706.801 to 706.861, inclusive, must notify the Department within 10 days after a change in the name of the motor carrier responsible for the safety of a vehicle included in an application submitted to the Department pursuant to NRS 706.841.
