6:29 Oath; Bond. – Before entering upon the duties of the office, an assistant state treasurer shall be sworn and shall give bond to the state in the sum of $40,000, with sufficient sureties to be approved by the governor and council, conditioned on the faithful discharge of the duties of the office.
