484:20 Compensation. – Each commissioner designated or appointed by the governor who, while such commissioner, holds no salaried state office shall be paid by the state as compensation the sum of $30 for each day's service performed in connection with his duties as such commissioner, but not to exceed $600 in any fiscal year.
