511:4 Return. – I. The officer's return is sufficient evidence that the copy has been so left, and of the time thereof, but the register of deeds shall certify thereon the time when the copy was received and may keep it on file or record it as provided in paragraph II. II. The register of deeds may cause the originals of copies filed under paragraph I to be photographed and preserved on microfilm or optical disk or both, in addition to or in lieu of other recording methods.
