529:30 Register's Duty. – I. The register of deeds shall certify upon each copy the time when it was received, and may keep it on file or record it as provided in paragraph II. The register of deeds shall also enter a record of it upon the index, as in the case of attachments of real estate with the exception that the record shall state that the writ is a writ of execution. II. The register of deeds may cause the originals of copies filed under paragraph I to be photographed and preserved on microfilm or optical disk or both, in addition to or in lieu of other recording methods.
