554:5 Articles Not to be Inventoried. – The wearing apparel, Bibles, family pictures, photographs, albums and any other personal trinkets of sentimental rather than intrinsic value belonging to the deceased leaving a widow, husband, children or heirs surviving, shall not be inventoried or accounted for, but shall be delivered by the administrator to the surviving husband or wife, if any, otherwise shall be divided by him among the children or, if there are no surviving children, among the heirs; but the same may be otherwise disposed of by will.
