106-H:12 Confidentiality. – I. Automatic number identification and automatic location identification information consisting of the address and telephone numbers of telephone subscribers whose listings are not published in directories or listed in directory assistance offices is confidential. Such confirmation will be provided on a call-by-call basis only for the purpose of handling emergency calls and any permanent record of such information shall be secured by the public safety answering point and disposed of in a manner which will retain that security except as otherwise required by applicable law. II. Any telephone subscriber may notify the bureau that a member of the household or business served by the telephone line has a physical impairment or otherwise has special needs. This information shall be accorded the same confidentiality as all other identifying information, and shall be used only as necessary for the provision of emergency services.
