110-B:46 Commitment. – I. No provost marshal or commander of a guard shall refuse to receive or keep any prisoner committed to his charge by an officer of the national guard when the committing officer furnishes a statement signed by the officer of the offense charged against the prisoner. II. Every provost marshal or commander of a guard to whose charge a prisoner is committed shall, within 24 hours after such commitment, report to the commanding officer the name of such prisoner, the offense charged and the name of the person who ordered or authorized the commitment.
