151:3-b Identification Required. – I. Except as provided in paragraph II, facilities licensed under this chapter shall require all persons, including volunteers, consulting doctors, and students and including home health care providers and hospice staff, in contact with clients and residents to wear a form of identification which readily discloses the name, licensure status, if any, and staff position. II. Paragraph I shall not apply to persons working in a facility which provides services to clients and residents with mental illness or developmental disabilities when such persons are working with such clients and residents outside of the facility. III. Failure to comply with paragraph I may result in a fine of no more than $50 on the facility per infraction. Source. 1998, 199:1, eff. Jan. 1, 1999.
