162-K:1 Local Option. – Any city or town may adopt this chapter and shall thereafter have all the authority, powers, duties and responsibilities set forth in this chapter. I. A city may adopt this chapter by majority vote of the legislative body of the city after notice and hearing as set forth in RSA 162-K:4. II. A town may adopt this chapter by majority vote of the voters present and voting at any legal town meeting under a proper article and after notice and hearing as set forth in RSA 162-K:4.
