427:20 Registration. – I. No person, firm, or corporation shall engage in business, in or for commerce, as an establishment, unless, when required by rules of the commissioner, he or she has registered with the commissioner his or her name, and the address of each place of business at which, and all trade names under which, he or she conducts such business. II. The commissioner shall issue certificates of registration and registration renewals to all registered establishments that fulfill all registration requirements including payment of the fee. Such certificate shall be displayed in a conspicuous place at the principal place of business of such establishment. III. All certificates of registration issued by the commissioner shall take effect on July 1 and expire on June 30 of the following year.
