Ask AI about this
This chapter was modeled after the original 1928 version of The Uniform Veterans' Guardianship Act (1928) which was withdrawn from recommendation for enactment by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws in 1942 due to it being superseded by the revised Uniform Veterans' Guardianship Act of 1942. New Hampshire has not adopted the 1942 revision of The Uniform Veterans' Guardianship Act. 465:6 Certificate; Minor Wards. – Where a petition is filed for the appointment of a guardian of a minor ward, a certificate of the director, or his representative, setting forth the age of such minor as shown by the records of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the fact that the appointment of a guardian is a condition precedent to the payment of any moneys due the minor by the Department of Veterans Affairs, shall be prima facie evidence of the necessity for such appointment.
