This chapter was modeled after the original 1928 version of The Uniform Veterans' Guardianship Act (1928) which was withdrawn from recommendation for enactment by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws in 1942 due to it being superseded by the revised Uniform Veterans' Guardianship Act of 1942. New Hampshire has not adopted the 1942 revision of The Uniform Veterans' Guardianship Act. 465:8 Bonds for Guardians. – If the estate of the ward consists of funds received from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, or earnings thereon, in excess of $1,000, the guardian shall give bond to the judge of probate in a reasonable sum, with corporate sureties, upon condition, among other things, to return an inventory, to render, upon oath, a true and just account of his guardianship, when thereto required, and to faithfully discharge his trust.
