207:40 By Executive Director. – Upon application of any person interested in the cutting or harvesting of ice for domestic or commercial purposes in any of the public ponds, rivers or lakes, the executive director may, upon hearing, close to ice fishing, for such period of time as he may order, the whole or a part of any such waters as he may deem necessary to protect the crop of ice thereon while the same is being formed, cut and harvested.
