236:44 Cooperative Markers. – The state historic preservation office may enter into cooperative agreements with any town, city, or historical society to place an historic marker within the right-of-way of any class IV or V highway. The agreement shall provide for reasonable sharing of the initial expense and for the town, city or society to maintain and care for the marker. Source.
