259:106 State. – 'State' shall mean: I. For purposes of the provisions of this title relative to financial responsibility, any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any province of the Dominion of Canada. II. For purposes of the provisions of this title relative to certificate of title, any state, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a province of the Dominion of Canada; III. For the purposes of the commercial driver licensing statutes, a state, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Republic of Mexico, and any province of the Dominion of Canada.
