263:5-d Identification. – The department may require reasonable identification from any applicant for a driver's license. Any person applying for a driver's license may present proof of identity in a form satisfactory to the department, provided that any of the following shall satisfy an identification requirement established pursuant to this section: I. A current United States passport. II. An armed services identification, or other photo identification issued or authenticated by the United States government. III.
