405:54 Writing Insurance. – If, by the laws of any state, the insurance commissioner or other official shall have the power to revoke the license of any company of this state or foreign state for writing insurance upon any person or property of that state, other than through or by a citizen of that state, the insurance commissioner of this state is empowered to revoke the license of any insurance company of that state, or any foreign insurance company licensed to do business in this state, that shall write for or through any agent of that state, directly or indirectly, upon any person or property of this state, except the same be written through a duly authorized agent, who shall be a citizen of this state.
