12:7-23.4. Racing exemption The provisions of this act shall not apply to power vessels registered and actually participating in racing events, or tuneup periods for racing events, when authorized by the Division of State Police in the Department of Law and Public Safety or by any other public authority with the approval of the Division of State Police.
