16:1-11. Trustees of corporations incorporated under special act; qualifications In the election of the trustees of any religious society incorporated by special act, it shall not be necessary that the trustees be members of the church in which the corporation exists, if they are attending members of the congregation and contribute to the support of the church, but at least a majority of the trustees elected shall be members of the church in good and regular standing.
