17:16C-56. Violations of act; penalty; enforcement by summary proceedings (a) Any person conducting business under this act and any director, officer, partner, member, employee, agent, or representative thereof who shall knowingly violate any provision of this act or shall directly or indirectly counsel, aid or abet such violation shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $500.00 for each offense. (b) The penalties provided for by this act shall be sued for and recovered by and in the name of the commissioner and shall be collected and enforced by summary proceedings pursuant to the Penalty Enforcement Law (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.).
