17:16C-89. Violations; penalties; enforcement (a) Any home repair contractor, home financing agency or holder of a home repair contract and any officer, partner, member, employee, agent or representative of either who shall knowingly violate any provision of this act or shall directly or indirectly counsel, aid or abet such violation shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $2,500.00 for each offense. Such penalties shall be enforced by summary proceedings pursuant to the Penalty Enforcement Law (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.). (b) Any person failing to comply with or violating section 16 of this act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. L.1960, c. 41, p. 173, s. 28.
