17:16L-3. Penalty for violation Any banking institution which willfully violates any provision of this act or any regulation promulgated in accordance therewith shall be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000.00 for each violation, up to a maximum of $5,000.00 in any one year, to be recovered in a summary proceeding under 'the penalty enforcement law' (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.).
