Employment for school year Teaching staff members may be employed and their salaries fixed and determined, under contracts, by a board of education for the period from July 1 of the year in which such board shall organize to the succeeding June 30, notwithstanding that the fiscal year of the district or of the municipality in which it is located is the calendar year.
