18A:35-4.18.1 American Sign Language recognized as world language for meeting high school graduation requirements. 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, American Sign Language shall be recognized as a world language for the purpose of meeting any State or local world language requirement for high school graduation.
