18A:40-21.2 Distribution of fact sheet on meningitis. 2. a. (1) For the 2006 school year, a school district shall distribute to parents and guardians of students in grades 6 through 12 the educational fact sheet on meningitis prepared pursuant to section 1 of P.L.2006, c.64 (C.26:2X-3), in a manner prescribed by the Commissioner of Education. (2) Beginning with the 2007 school year, a school district shall distribute the educational fact sheet annually to parents or guardians of students in the sixth grade in a manner prescribed by the Commissioner of Education. b. The Commissioner of Education shall also make the educational fact sheet available to private schools educating students in grades 6 through 12, or any combination thereof. Such schools are encouraged to distribute the fact sheet to parents or guardians of students at the school; however, nothing in this section shall be construed to require such schools to distribute the fact sheet.
